I have enjoyed reading “Check Your Drawers” and there are at least 76 reasons why any leader in business, at any level, must have this on their “must read” list. It is practical, it has truth woven throughout, and the feature I really liked were the “Important Concepts” at the end of each chapter. If there were a word or two to describe the reason to read cover to cover they are “situational awareness”, as while we may pass on our DNA to the next generation we do not pass on our experiences. “Check Your Drawers” does that, and the lessons learned in the book are invaluable. What peop Bob Eaton, you are amazing! This book should be required reading for every new manager of ANY type of business. More importantly, it should be required reading for ALL senior managers of any type of business. No one is beyond learning, right?
